Terms of use
By registering to iperso, and/or using the iperso panel, website, and functions, a user agrees to all the terms of this document.
Service
"iperso" is a free service offered "as is" without any waranty or insurance of any kind. IHQ, iperso employes, and our support staff, will never ask you money or compensation for the service provided. In order to assure our operations, simple, non-obtrusive ads will be displayed in the lower section of the iperso panel. Any attempt to remove the lower panel, will be interpreted as breach of our terms of use, and could result in an account being deleted. Any attempt to undermine or cause damage to iperso services and systems, either through piracy or through other means such as denial of service attacks, could result in legal action being taken. At any time a user may request for his account and all related informations to be deleted from our systems. The registration process and use of our service, represents a direct agreement to the terms of this document. iperso reserves the right to contact registered users by email regarding offers, new features, maintenance and terms change regarding iperso and IHQ Inc., but will not send emails for third parties. iperso reserves the right to suspend or delete an account without warning for any reason seen as sufficient by our administrators and staff.
Beta
In addition to the terms of this document, the beta program users must agree to the following.
While in beta state, iperso users may be contacted for testing purpose or for information gathering. Users are free to participate in the feedback process and send us errors or experiences. However, account with no or very low activity can be deleted without warning, at any time.
Privacy
iperso will never gather or ask for personnal information that could allow to identify a person, such as (name, address, telephone, social security number, etc..). A user's account is identified only by a pseudonym choosed by the user. The personnal information requested in the registration process is limited to a valid email address which is required, for communication purpose. The email of a user will never be given or sold to a third party. iperso, will gather basic statistical information about a user such as but not limited to: the number of times a profile has been used, the number of successful login to iperso, the date of the last access, etc... iperso will never communicate that information directly to a third party, but can use this information in order to display targeted ads, suggest specific information, or display targeted help documents to our users. Sensitive profile data will never be used by iperso or our employes and staff, and will never be given or sold to a third party. Specific methods have been implemented in the iperso service in order to prevent such event. Please read the security section below for more information.
Security
The iperso service provide a way to organize and easily access sensitive information such as usernames and passwords. In order to maximize the security of this data, the iperso service has been constructed to use various well known and reputed encryption mechanisms such as AES and RIPEMD in order to encrypt data on our servers, and maintain secure sessions with a client's browser. Furthermore, all Web content produced for the iperso panel, and the underlying applications utilize secure web pages through the HTTPS protocol. Finally, the iperso service has been specifically constructed in order to reduce effects of data theft and piracy. Even if we take enourmous care to assure our system security, in the event of a server's security being breached, the sensitive information remains protected. The information required to decrypt sensitive data such as username and password, is never written to our hard drive or in our database. This means that even if someone would physically steal a server, the information it contains would be insufficient to decrypt the sensitive data it contains. This also means that iperso, our employes and staff, have no way of decrypting the sensitive information of a user. Our goal was that only the user could provide the means to access his personnal data. One downside of this method is that our staff also have no means to recover a lost password. If a user has lost his password, the only available solution is to delete the account and create a new one. We encourage users to use the memo and backup functions as needed. Like most application using encryption, this service may not be legal in every country due to export laws and restrictions. It is the user's responsibility to ensure the use of iperso is permitted in his country.
Liability
Although we are really careful about security, and the quality of our service, when using iperso you are required to agree that iperso provide the service "as is" and without any warranty, thus removing all liability from iperso and IHQ Inc. regarding any damage, disagreement, or problems you may encounter. You must also agree to take full reponsibility regarding your actions and the use of your account. All authors of piracy attemps, and attacks directed towards iperso, our users, or partners, could result in legal actions being taken.
Copyrights
The iperso logo, colors, design and procedures are copyright IHQ Inc. Any utilization of our image, logo, name, source code or pictures without authorization is not permitted, and could result in legal actions. iperso use royalty free audio soundtracks licensed for our use. Copying or distributing these soundtrack for other purpose represent a violation of the copyright.
Terms modification
The terms of this document can be modified at any moment. On such occasions a notice will be sent by email to registered users, and may be posted on iperso's homepage.
